West Freeway church of Christ is a church that loves serving others while serving God.
We Believe:
The BIBLE is God’s Word to man. It is complete and without error (2 Timothy 3:14-17).
SALVATION is needed because all of us sin (Romans 3:23). Salvation is in Jesus (Acts 4:12). We get into Jesus by repenting and being baptized (Acts 2:38 and Romans 6:3-7). We remain in Jesus by being faithful (See Romans 12:1-2).
The CHURCH(Individual Christians) belongs to Jesus (Matthew 16:18) and is His body (Ephesians 1:22-23). Every part of the body must grow and do his/her part (Ephesians 4:11-16). We are God’s family (See Galatians 4:4-7). And we, as the church have a mission (Ephesians 3:1-11).
ETERNITY is real. Heaven and Hell are real (See Revelation 21:1-8). God desires for us to choose His gracious offer of heaven through Jesus (See Revelation 20:11-15).
MAN is a sinner that can be saved by grace (God’s undeserved favor). And this offer of GRACE is simply because God loves us (See Ephesians 2:1-10).
The HOLY SPIRIT dwells in every Christian (Acts 2:38) and produces a sweet spirit (Galatians 5:22-25).
JESUS is God’s Son. He was God in the flesh (John 1:1-3,11). He freely sacrificed Himself for all men (Romans 5:6-8). He did this because He loves us (See Ephesians 5:2).
GOD is Creator and Father. He is the eternal one (Exodus 3:14). He co-exists equally in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14). And He refused to let us go (See John 3:16).
When visiting expect a worship assembly based on the new testament example: acapella singing, reading the scripture, praying, and a biblically based sermon. the assembly runs approximately 1 hour. We look forward to seeing you at one of our services.
