Water Angel Ministries is a Christian outreach ministry to the homeless and at-risk in Knoxville. In 2002, Girl Scout troops which consisted of 26 Kindergarten girls, started coming downtown with donated bottled water to hand out in Jesus name to the “least of these”. What started out as a one time mission project, God has expanded into a full time ministry.
This is God’s ministry, open to all denominations to share the love of Christ to all who are hurting, lost, and broken so they may see hope in Him.
We have church services every Sunday at 2 PM where they not only hear the Word & worship from different area pastors & worship leaders but are also served lunch afterwards and receive needed clothing, toiletries, or food.
We also have targeted ministries that reach out to addicted men and women, and a special kids outreach called Shining Star.
Also, during the week we assist the homeless in bible study, help obtain state Identification and social security cards, and assist in finding employment and housing. We help them with moving in and acquiring donated furniture and household items. Since 2002, we have helped over 3500 people.
Every product donation we receive, is given to the homeless, we do not sell anything. 100% of the financial donations we receive go toward operating this ministry and providing the services to assist the homeless into self-sufficiency. This is our way of giving back, and serving God whole-heartedly.
We encourage all believers to come together and serve in this ministry. It has been wonderful for my family to find a place that we can serve together, and we welcome all families to share in the blessing.
