Denomination: Lutheran
St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran is a community of Christian believers, called by God to use the many gifts that He has given us, within the church and the community, so that others might come to know him. We work hard each day to use these gifts to glorify God and his creation.
What We Believe
The questions of “What do you believe” is an excellent question when attending church. Many times, it is a question that some people have trouble putting words to. Here is a brief overview of what Lutherans believe.
The Basics
Lutherans are Christians who believe in the Word of God, his Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ was sent to earth as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. Jesus overcame death was raised from the dead and ascended into heaven.
We also follow the teaching of Martin Luther who started the protestant reformation back in 1517 with his challenge of some of the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. Luther’s teachings center on the fact that we are saved by the grace of God alone, through faith alone, on account of Christ alone
