St Nicholas welcomes Christians and those who seek to understand Christianity in the Harpenden area. Our aim is to make contact with and encourage others to join us in our life-enhancing Christian journey.
St Nicholas at Harpenden, Hertfordshire is a friendly Christian community where we welcome others to join us in our worship and service to God. Our emphasis is on learning and understanding the Bible and following the example of Jesus and his followers.
The vision of St Nicholas is to make an impact for God, here in Harpenden, Hertfordshire by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds. Come just as you are - we'd love to get to know you better.

Holy Communion (said)
This service uses Common Worship traditional language.
Every Sunday at 8:00 AM for 50 minutes
Sung Eucharist
Sung service with full choir. Sunday clubs for children.
Every Sunday at 9:30 AM for 1 hour
Morning Praise
An informal service of praise and songs, especially suited to families and children. Sunday club during term time.
Every Sunday at 11:15 AM for 1 hour
Simply Worship
An informal service with a children's talk. Usually includes communion. It is a relaxed and simplified service that is accessible by all ages. The timing is designed to assist those who find it difficult to come on a Sunday morning.
Every first Sunday at 4:30 PM for ¾ hour
Evensong
A full sung evensong service using the Book of Common Prayer (BCP). With full choir.
Every Sunday at 6:30 PM for 1 hour

Evening Prayer
Parish Evening Prayer. A short said service using 'Celebrating Common Prayer'. Tuesdays to Fridays each week.
Every Tuesday at 5:00 PM for 20 minutes
Wednesday
Morning Prayer
Said Morning Prayer. On Wednesdays and Saturdays it is at St Nicholas'.
Every Wednesday at 10:00 AM for 20 minutes
Said Eucharist
Every Wednesday at 10:30 AM for 40 minutes
Evening Prayer
Parish Evening Prayer. A short said service using 'Celebrating Common Prayer'. Tuesdays to Fridays each week.
Every Wednesday at 5:00 PM for 20 minutes
Thursday
Evening Prayer
Parish Evening Prayer. A short said service using 'Celebrating Common Prayer'. Tuesdays to Fridays each week.

Friday
Holy Communion
Every Friday at 8:00 AM for 50 minutes
