St Mary welcomes Christians and those who seek to understand Christianity in the Knaresborough area. Our aim is to make contact with and encourage others to join us in our life-enhancing Christian journey.
St Mary at Knaresborough, North Yorkshire is a friendly Christian community where we welcome others to join us in our worship and service to God. Our emphasis is on learning and understanding the Bible and following the example of Jesus and his followers.
The vision of St Mary is to make an impact for God, here in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds. Come just as you are - we'd love to get to know you better.

Daily Office
Since the days of the Early Church, Christians have gathered together to worship, pray and read the Scriptures. The Daily Offices, sustained in monastic communities and by the clergy, combines these three elements in services that are both simple and enriching. Church of England Clergy, as part of our ordination vows, promise to read these Offices morning and evening. The Clergy of the Knaresborough Team meet each weekday (other than Wednesday when there are regular Communion Services) to say the Office and pray.
We warmly invite anyone who wishes to do so, to join us.
Each Office lasts a maximum of 30 minutes.
We Meet as follows:
Monday - 9am in Holy Trinity (first Monday of the month in St Mary's, Goldsborough)
Tuesday - 8:30 Holy Communion in the St Edmund (Chapel) in St John's Church, Knaresborough.
Thursday - 9am in Holy Trinity
Friday - 9am in the St Edmund (Chapel) in St John's Church, Knaresborough.
Please join us - but remember the church heating will not be on.

Parish Communion
This service includes hymns, prayers of intercession, Bible readings and a sermon.
In the sharing of bread and wine, this service helps us to remember Jesus Christ's death and resurrection.
1st Sunday in the month 9.00 am.
Holy Communion (traditional language)
except on 1st November 2009, when the service will be at 10.00 am., and will include Confirmation by the Rt. Revd. James Bell, Bishop of Knaresborough.
Every first Sunday at 9:00 AM
All Age Communion
This service includes hymns, prayers of intercession, Bible readings and a sermon.
In the sharing of bread and wine, this service helps us to remember Jesus Christ's death and resurrection.
2nd Sunday in the month 9.00 am. All-age Communion (informal, modern language).
Every second Sunday at 9:00 AM
