Sharing God's love for one another and our Community
HTCA - Huntingdon Town Centre Anglicans are One Church with Two Grade 1 Buildings,
St Mary's with St Benedict and All Saints' with St John.
We have been worshiping and witnessing jointly over the last five years as Christians in the centre of Huntingdon with the same Ministry team.
Unfortunately St Mary's is currently closed to enable repair work to be carried out.
Our main Sunday Worship therefore currently takes place in All Saints Church at 10:30am - if you live near by you will hear our beautiful bells ringing, welcoming you to worship.
During the week we also use All Saints for worship and prayer and we are developing our call to hospitality and welcome.
All Saints' is the home of our baby and toddler group called Footsteps,which happens on Thursdays and Creative Space our dedicated time for crafts and art during the afternoon drop in session.
Our PCCs Together meetings will continue to focus on our response to the new Dioscean Strategy Document, "People Fully Alive." Our Plan for reaching our vision seems to form a candle, - a light, perhaps to illuminate our path on the way to our Audits and light the way for our vision: 'Sharing God's love with one another and our community'.
As PCCs Together we are looking at our;
Worship: what it is all about, what we actually do, what we are offering,looking at how can it be the best we can offer to share God's love in this place.
People: Who are we? What can we offer God in this place? What do we want to be involved in? How do we share God's love with one another and our community?
Buildings: what have we got? How should we use them to share Gods love? What do we need to make them better equiped for community use and share God's Love in our worship?
We hope to fully integrate our Vision with that of the outworking of mission and ministry in the Diocese.
We hope we will: Engage fully and courageously with the needs of our community, locally and globally
Grow God's church by finding disciples and nurture leaders
Deepen our commitment to God through word worship and prayer
Bishop Stephen says:
'As much as anything else our strategy is a call to prayer. 'We pray... that we may be the people God calls us to be, fully alive in Him'.
