Denomination: Anglican Church
We are a Church of England church which meets in Highwoods Community Centre (adjacent to Tesco).
Meeting in a community centre means that our focus is very much on the church as people – rather than a building. The congregation of St Luke’s is made up of all ages and people from many different backgrounds and Christian experience.
We seek to be a Christian community, which is welcoming and relevant and where people may find a place of belonging wherever they are in their spiritual journey.
We value children and young people as fully part of the church of today. We also recognise they have particular needs in today’s society.
We are informal and mostly use modern songs led by a band with a variety of musical instruments.
We work in partnership with St John’s Church, and with them we are linked to New Wine Networks.
