Denomination: Roman Catholic
Since the very beginning, our parish has been known as a place where we answer the needs of others. We encourage you also to volunteer within the many groups here at St. Justin's, so we can continue making our Church a more visible sign of God's presence in the Markham and Unionville community.
When the community of St. Justin Martyr opened the doors of its first Church, it served an estimated 1,200 families. Since that time, our community of faith has continued to grow and we now have over 6,300 families living within our parish boundaries.
St. Justin Martyr Parish has grown in other ways as well. Many visitors who attend our Sunday Liturgies have expressed how vibrant, warm and inviting our Catholic community is. They marvel at the active participation of the people in all aspects of our celebration, from the Ministers of Hospitality who greet our people, to the dedicated Altar Servers, Lectors and Extraordinary Ministers of Communion who add so much to our prayerful liturgies and celebrations.
We are also becoming known as a parish which reaches out beyond our Sunday liturgies to answer the needs of the community in which we live. Many dedicated parishioners have given their time and energy to feeding the hungry, visiting the sick, comforting the dying and bringing solace and friendship to those who have lost a loved one and those of various faith backgrounds.
If you haven't already done so, please consider making St. Justin Martyr Parish your home - away from home.
