In 2006 St. John's Chapel, which had been the Roman Catholic Chapel on campus, was renovated to a inter-faith chapel in order to reflect the diversity of religious beliefs and practices at Memorial University. The Chapel is a vital part of spiritual life of Memorial and the wider community. It is the site of worship, prayer, weddings, memorial services, social gatherings, lectures, discussions, and inter-faith events.
