Started as a mission over 25 years ago, St. Ignatius Church is the only Orthodox church under the jurisdiction of the Antiochian archdiocese in the Windsor Essex region. Today, St. Ignatius Church is at a new location housing both the current St. Ignatius parish and the former St. Elias parish.
Our Divine Liturgy is celebrated in Arabic and some English primarily catering to the needs of Arab Orthodox parishioners and first generation immigrants.
The church follows the traditional St. John the Divine Liturgy and Byzantine rites.
Everyone is welcome to visit and join us in the prayers. We aspire to extend our Liturgical services to include English versions and cater to all those wishing to join the Orthodox Church. For more information please contact the parish priest.
