Denomination: Anglican Church
We are the Body of Christ. We build up the people of God with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Relationships, more than rules, guide our lives and we see the work of the church as formation, learning, growth and development. Such a model results in many ventures: church school, adult education, Bible studies, potluck meals and a yearly parish weekend at Camp Owaissi.
We are an outward and visible sign of God’s graceful presence in life through worship, shared activities with other churches and the active participation of many people in our liturgical life. Communion is taken to the sick, the homebound and the hospitalized.
As servants of Christ, we are a part of God’s family helping people to experience God’s Grace and Compassion. Many parish members work and volunteer in the community. Part of our parish’s outreach includes support of the following agencies: Camp Owaissi, Bridges to New Life, ChurchServe, Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF), Sorrento Centre, Westside Community Foodbank, and the Women’s Shelter.
These are some of the many different ways we live out the Christian faith, our model being Jesus Christ.
