Dear Friends
The Season of Creation is just about here...that time set aside to celebrate God's good gifts of earth, air, water and abundant life. It is the time of preparation for harvest and thanksgiving, which are the climax of the growing year. But it is also the time of new beginnings, with school up and running and the St Andrew's Church calendar filling up fast. So whether you're an eagle looking down from above or a runner looking forward, you're likely to find lots of activities to catch your eye.
St Andrew's welcomes the community to engage with us in a number of programs in the coming season. Based on lively faith, we will renew our focus on the person of Jesus as teacher, healer, storyteller and friend. We'll apply these insights as we celebrate Labour Day Weekend, honour First Responders on September 11th, and participate in a community-wide Back to Church Sunday. These and many more celebrations will remind us of God's blessings and constant protection.
Summer has been a time of rest and reflection for the folks who plan our outreach activities. Those activities are highlighted in this newsletter, and come with an invitation: Come join us! You'll find yourself among ready friends.
Most important, as we enjoy all these celebrations, studies, and outreach events during this Season of Creation, let's take time to marvel at God's blessings, and discover new ways to share them.
With God's peace, love, joy
