Denomination: Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
Our Mission
We invite all people to know Jesus by Sharing God’s love and telling people about His free gift of grace and forgiveness. Encouraging people to connect with God through lives of prayer, praise, thanksgiving, witness, and service. Experiencing authentic, passionate worship as a community gathered around word and sacrament.
Grow deeper in faith and spiritual maturity through the power of the Holy Spirit by encouraging a personal understanding of the importance and power of the sacraments in our lives. Encourage people to read God’s word, pray daily, and see life as the primary setting for the exercise of their Christian calling in the world. Providing opportunities for faith formation for God’s children of all ages.
Go forward to serve all God’s children by putting our faith into action through the giving of our time, talents, and resources to humbly serve those in need. Demonstrating God’s love and mercy even when it is outside of our comfort zone. Welcoming and connecting with each other and the community to be a place where people find hope and restoration in Jesus.
What We Believe
We are saved by the grace of God alone, not by anything we do. Our salvation is through faith alone, a confident trust in God, who in Christ promises us forgiveness, life, and salvation. The bible is the norm for faith and life. The true standard by which teachings and doctrines are to be judged.
Members of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) are connected to the faith of the church through the ages and around the world. Lutherans believe in the Triune God. We are part of God's unfolding plan. When we gather for worship, we connect with believers everywhere and of every time. When we study the Bible and pray, we are drawn more deeply into God's own saving story. When we serve others and address social issues that affect the common good, we live out our Christian faith. The ELCA invites you into this community of Christian faith. Welcome, and explore.
