Salem Baptist Church McDonough Service Times

From our humble beginnings in 1870, Salem has strived to remain true to God's calling for us. For nearly 150 years, the mission has remained the same - tell everybody about Jesus. Throughout the years, God has provided resources, facilities, and people to help make that happen. Today, Salem offers a 104-acre campus with facilities for worship and Bible study, as well as a park and recreation complex for our community.

1870: Ten members begin Salem Baptist Church. For several years, they would meet in homes and schoolhouses.
1897: A second church building is constructed to accomodate growth.
1979: A third church building is constructed to accomodate growth.
1996: Salem calls Rick Statham to serve as Senior Pastor.
2004: Salem purchases 100 acres for expansion which as been developed to include a park and recreation fields

On Sunday mornings, Salem hosts three worship services.

8:25am - A traditional service featuring the Sanctuary Choir and the singing of hymns accompanied by the piano and organ.

9:45am & 11am - These services are multi-generational services led by a worship team/band and feature modern worship songs. All services include teaching from Pastor Rick Statham or, on occasion, one of Salem's supporting pastors.

On Wednesdays, Salem hosts a number of opportunities for people of all ages.

10:30am - A traditional worship service featuring the Singing Saints Choir and the singing of hymns accompanied by piano.

6:30pm - Age-based programming including discipleship groups for adults and ministry-specific gatherings for preschool, children, and students.
