The Pleasant Valley (formerly Pulaski Heights) Church celebrated its 65th anniversary June 15, 2012. Because of limited space at Pulaski Heights Church, land was acquired at the present location and a new facility was constructed. The name changed to Pleasant Valley and the first meeting in the new facility took place on June 28, 1970.
PV has 11 elders, 56 deacons, 11 ministers, and 12 missionaries. A goal of net annual growth of 5% in number of members - among many other goals - was set that year by the church leadership. Currently, PV has more than 2,000 members.
Each member continues to be encouraged to be actively involved in one or more of the many ministries, which address various needs of the congregation and the community. We continue to coordinate the outreach efforts of spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.
Missions and spiritual growth have been key components of the congregation's emphasis throughout its history with evangelism and missions representing more than 32% of our budget.
