Denomination: Christian and Missionary Alliance
Our History
November 1993 – Paramount Family Centre was founded twenty years ago and has been a ministry to the community of Paramount Drive Alliance Church. The centre started with an enrollment of about 32 children and has expanded through the years to presently providing care to more than 75 children.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide loving care in a safe Christian environment for the children of our community.
Our Philosophy
Paramount Family Centre believes that positive learning for children will enhance a child's level of development. We recognize that each child is an individual therefore we follow the Emergent Approach to play based learning. This stimulating approach focuses holistically on the whole child achieving skills through physical, cognitive, language, emotional, social and spiritual development. These skills are tools for life.
Our Guiding Principles
Early Child development sets the foundation for lifelong learning, behaviour and health.
Partnerships with families and communities strengthen the ability of early childhood settings to meet the needs of young children.
Demonstrating respect for diversity, equality and inclusion are prerequisites for optimal development and learning.
A planned curriculum supports early learning.
Play is a means to early learning that capitalizes on children's natural curiosity and exuberance.
Knowledgeable, responsive early childhood professionals are essential.
