Our Mission
To make followers of Jesus in our community.
Our Core Values
As we pursue our passion to follow Jesus, we have eight core values which drive our focus:
Celebrate through worship. Worship is giving God the honor He deserves. It is something we do when we gather together on Sundays and other events, but is far more than simply attending or even participating. It is a lifestyle that is built on a deep love for God and His plan for our lives. Matthew 22:37-39; John 4:23-24.
Commission to reach the lost. Before leaving earth, Jesus told His followers to continue communicating the gospel (literally, good news) throughout the world, because God's love is for all people. We share Christ through our friendships with our neighbors, co-workers and family. We are to be Jesus with skin on to the people around us. Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8.
Commitment to the Word. From cover to cover, the Bible reveals the nature of God. It is a reliable source with no errors which would hinder us from being brought to full relationship with God, and has been given by God to help us understand who He is and to reveal His will to us. Psalm 119:103-104; Colossians 3:16; II Timothy 3:15-16; James 1:21-23.
Christlike character. God, who is holy, calls us to a life of holiness. Through the Holy Spirit, each person can not only be forgiven of sin, but can even be transformed, empowering us to love God with our whole beings and to love our neighbors as ourselves. True Christian character is Christlikeness. Isaiah 6:1-7; Galatians 5:16-25; Colossians 3:1-17.
Community. We are a part of the body of Christ, and as a family, it is our responsibility to value, encourage, forgive and hold one another accountable as we follow Jesus. Proverbs 27:17; John 13:34-35; Galatians 6:2; Ephesians 4:11-16.
Caring and Compassionate. We are a community of faith who cares about the needs of our neighbor and our world. Matthew 25:31-46; James 2:14-19.
Challenge to empowering ministry. God has created each of us with a unique set of abilities and skills, and intends for us to use those in serving Him. The church is a team, not individual players, working together to bring glory to God. Romans 12; I Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4:11-16.
Comprehensive stewardship. Everything we have--our time, money and possessions--belongs to God and we use them to honor Him, to bless others, and to provide for the ministries of His church. I Timothy 6:17-19.
