The Northwest Church is a community of believers seeking to inspire people to follow Jesus and fearlessly change the world. Holding to the truth and teachings of the Bible — we practice unity, believe in diversity and invest in mission. Our gatherings draw a diverse cross-section of people who celebrate the freedom of Christ as we seek to restore the purity and grace of New Testament Christianity. The mission of the Northwest Church is to join God’s Spirit in spreading His kingdom calling all people to follow Jesus, transforming life and community through His love.
The Northwest Church began in 1902 on the shores of Lake Union. God has placed a unique church in a unique area. The Northwest Church is proud of its heritage, yet we are flexible enough to move ahead. We have deep roots in the past, but we are poised to look to the future. Today we are a diverse but united body of believers. We come from all walks of life and backgrounds with one united purpose, to follow the example of Jesus Christ, seeking to spread His kingdom throughout Seattle and around the world.
