Denomination: Non-denominational
New Covenant Church was organized as Love Christian Fellowship on September 25, 1982. We were birthed in response to God’s dealing with Pastor Bryan Hudson about raising up a non-denominational ministry in Indianapolis that would reach people from all walks of life. Pastor Hudson was mentored and ordained by his late pastor and grandfather, Ray Elijah Hudson of Christway Missionary Baptist Church. New Covenant Church is currently affiliated with the International Covenant Connection.
From the beginning of our ministry, we sought to demonstrate the love of Jesus through caring for one another and reaching out to to positively impact the lives of people locally, nationally and internationally. God gave us a core vision of: Family Church; Community & World Outreach Center; and a Bible Teaching Ministry. This vision has flourished and produced much fruit through the various facets of our ministry.
For 34 years we have faithfully proclaimed the Gospel and taught the Word of God through every available means including; regular and special services; cell groups, at nursing homes, missions, radio, television, under a tent, in parks, in school auditoriums, door to door, at housing projects, in foreign lands, through the Internet and through personal evangelism. To the glory of God, we have ministered to thousands of people and lead a great number to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. In January of 1997, we took the new name, New Covenant Church. This new name expresses our renewed focus on sharing the New Covenant or redemption and victorious living that Jesus provided for humanity, as well as our desire to walk in covenant-love one with another.
In November of 1999 we completed an expansion and remodeling project on our present facilities to allow for greater service to our congregation and community. On August 21, 2003, one of the founders of the ministry, Gaynell Hudson, mother of Pastor Bryan Hudson, and wife to elder Horace Bryan Hudson, went home to be with the Lord. Her faith and contributions will always be remembered.
In 2004 we began working into Lagos, Nigeria Africa. After a second trip in 2005, Pastor Bryan Hudson established the Firm Foundation Institute learning center at Liberation Assembly Church. During the third trip in 2008, Pastor Hudson personally awarded certificates to graduates of Firm Foundation Institute, as well as to turn the Institute over to the local church. In 2013 and 2016 Pastor Hudson traveled to Kenya, Africa with a team of ministers to help empower pastors and conduct fruitful Gospel crusades.
We serve our community with empowerment programs and outreach ministries the serve hundred's of people every year. We reach into our neighborhoods, institutions, and schools with support and the Gospel of Christ.
The people of New Covenant Church, from our eldership, to our key leaders, ministry and auxiliary teams, to the newest members, are the heart and soul of our ministry. May the Lord grant us the favor, grace and resources to continue to make a positive impact on the city of Indianapolis and beyond.Together we are, "Loving God. Loving People. Serving the World!"
