First Baptist Church of Maynardville
In 1843, a small group of Christians established Liberty Baptist Church which would eventually grow to become the First Baptist Church of Maynardville. First Baptist Church of Maynardville continues to serve as a faithful witness and testimony to the love and saving grace of Jesus Christ in Maynardville and Union County.
Our Christian mission continues in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ first and foremost among our neighbors here in our local community. Our association with the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board and the Southern Baptist Convention allows us to extend our mission outreach by partnering with likeminded churches in supporting missions and missionaries at the state, national, and global levels.
Our hope and prayer is that we will be able to tell every living soul that faith in Jesus Christ brings a rich and abundant life today and one day, an eternal home in heaven.
