Denomination: First Baptist
Leamington First Baptist Church was organized in March 1875 and situated in the former Mersea Township near the corner of the Seventh Concession and Albuna Townline. A commemorative plaque was placed on the site in May 2004 in conjunction with our Church's 150th Anniversary Celebration. In 1879 a new church was established and built at the corner of Talbot and Fox Streets in the Village of Leamington where the recent church is now situated.
Our church consists of two boards that look after both the finances and ministries at First Baptist Leamington. They are the Elders Board and the Deacons Board. Both Boards meet on a regular basis and discuss jointly issues relating to both boards. Our boards address all matters that are submitted in writing.
Our boards represent the congregation and as it states in our constitution, brings information to a church membership meeting when needed.
