Denomination: Roman Catholic
Welcome to tHoly Rosary Cathedral, the mother church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vancouver. The Cathedral Parish is a vibrant presence in the downtown community of Vancouver, British Columbia. Since its founding in 1885, the parish has played a critical role in the growth of the Catholic faith and culture of Vancouver. Mass is celebrated here four times a day on weekdays.
There are eight Sunday Masses including the anticipated Mass on Saturday evening and the Mass in Spanish. Confessions are heard everyday except Sunday. The beautiful cathedral is a designated heritage building with an interesting history. Its change-ringing bells, Nincheri stained-glass windows and a grand old organ also make it a popular tourist stop for visitors to Vancouver.
Our rich faith tradition is also expressed through novenas, rosary prayers and vespers at different times daily and weekly. Community outreach, concerts and parish-building activities take place throughout the year. Feel free to browse and visit us.
