Denomination: First Baptist
Pastor Phil Kazek started his ministry at First Baptist Petrolia in February 2006. Before that he served at North Dresden Baptist Church for 9 years and First Baptist Church in Goderich for 7 years. He has a heart for missions, personal spiritual growth and revival. He likes to see the power of God manifested in the church and it's people. Pastor Phil enjoys children & youth ministries and seeing the gifts of individuals used.
Our Church Covenant
Having been led, by the Spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus as my Savoir, and on the profession of my faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, I do now in the presence of God, angels, and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with the First Baptist Church family.
I commit myself to Jesus Christ, to this church family and to the church’s Vision and Mission Statement. In doing so, I commit myself to do the following.
I will protect the unity of my church…
by acting in love toward other members;
by continually encouraging others;
by following the leaders as they are led by the Spirit.
I will share the responsibility of my church…
by praying and serving;
by inviting the uncharted to attend;
by welcoming those who visit.
I will serve the ministry of my church…
by discovering and using my gifts and talents;
by being equipped and willing to serve faithfully;
by developing and exhibiting a servant’s heart.
I will support the testimony of my church…
by teaching our children and youth about Jesus;
by presenting tithes and offerings to the Lord;
by living a godly life and attending faithfully.
