Denomination: Assemblies of God
Faith Assembly of God in Kiln, Mississippi, began as a burden was laid upon the heart of Pastor Larry Bradley and his wife, JoAnn, in the spring of 1980. Pastor Bradley made contact with what would prove to be a couple of vital families: Tommy and Janet Johnston and the Jacobson family. The group soon agreed that there was a tremendous need for a Pentecostal Church in the Kiln. They began to meet two times a week for prayer. It did not take long before others joined the call to launch the ministry.
Soon, the new fellowship began holding regular weekly services in a rental builing on Highway 603. After a short period of time the meeting space proved to be inadequate and remodeling became necessary. After six months, the church purchased the property where it currently resides. Six months later, the growing church family gathered to burn the paid mortgage. A new building would be erected in time to hold services by the second anniversary.
