Denomination: Pentecostal
Welcome to Elim Fountain of Hope. We are a branch of the Elim Pentecostal Churches in UK and Overseas. The Elim Movement comprises of over 550 churches in the UK and Ireland, but we are also linked to over 9,000 Elim churches in other countries.
We have existed in Oldham for over 36 years. From a very small building on Henshaw Street, over 9 years ago, we bought this fantastic building which was formerly The Greenacres Independent Methodist Church Building.
Our Mission is to proclaim the Good news of Jesus Christ. To help Christians become disciples of Jesus Christ and grow into spiritual maturity. We seek to serve people in the community as we practically display the love of God.
We are a multi-cultural church with 8 different nationalities. That of course brings with it the challenges of multi-culturalism, and the Holy Spirit who cuts across cultural barriers have been our help in having a united body that celebrate its diversities.
Thank God for the Holy Spirit that cuts across all cultural barriers. Our mandate is to reach the indigenous communities in our society. So our doors are wide open to all. We have made a good connection with our local community through our youth clubs, Food bank, Cafe and other activities like gardening, free car wash, community fun days and barbecues. It is rewarding to see the kids who were once causing problems now putting something back into the community.
Our vision is to raise champions and impact our community and we achieve that by being a church where people encounter God in Fellowship, Discipleship, Worship, Ministry and Evangelism.
