Dunston Family Church is a large, actively growing family of Christians made up of men, women and children of all ages and from many different backgrounds and walks of life. We are an evangelical church which is in relationship with the other Christian churches in Dunston and the North-East.
Although most of us live in or around Dunston, we are delighted to welcome an increasing number of families from further afield, both within the UK and beyond. Recently, we have had the privilege of welcoming new friends from as far afield as: Albania; South Africa; Iran; Sierra Leone; Ghana; Angola; Cameroon and Eritrea.
We enjoy freedom in our relationship with God our Father, and this is reflected in our praise and worship, drawing from a rich source of both modern choruses, and older, well-established hymns. We are blessed to have many talented musicians and singers, both young and old, and regularly enjoy 'solo' or 'group' items.
As a family church, we welcome families with children of all ages. Teaching them through songs, Bible stories, drama and craft, they learn of God's love for them, and how important it is to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. The children stay with us through the first part of the main service. They then have their own time of praise before dividing into classes according to their age group.
