Denomination: United Methodist Church
Crossroads UMC Welcome Statement
At Crossroads, you will find a community of people with a wide range of beliefs, doubts and convictions. We care about one another, our neighbors and our world.
We aren't perfect, but we are committed to growing together to create a loving community committed to being followers of Christ and help alleviate the suffering in the world.
We are an open community of Christians who seek to be moved to greater love for God and others. (Luke 10:27).
We embrace as a gift the diversity of the world. We celebrate and affirm our human family's diversity of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, age, faith history, economic status, marital status, physical and mental ability, and education.
We believe discrimination is incompatible with Christ's Gospel. We believe all people are worthy of God's love and grace. We welcome the full inclusion of all people in the life and ministries of Crossroads United Methodist Church. We recognize that there are differences among us but believe that we can love alike, even though we may not think alike.
We know that the way we act toward others is the fullest expression of what we believe. We invite all people—from traditional Christians to questioning skeptics—to join us on a journey toward greater love, understanding, mutual respect, and dream of a future of healthy homes and holy hearts for all people.
