Denomination: Community Church
Mission Statement
LOVE GOD AND LOVE PEOPLE BY…
Molding ordinary people into fully surrendered servants of Jesus Christ
The purpose of this church is:
To be obedient to the Holy Scripture, God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the direction of the Holy Spirit.
We believe our mission to be in accordance with the “Great Commission” (Matthew 28:19-20): To go into our world to make disciples by helping to nurture and instruct all who wish to accept Jesus Christ as a personal Savior, and to baptize those who which to identify themselves with Him as a sign of obedience according to scripture.
We feel that the traits of the early church as described in Acts 2:42-47, teaching, fellowship, praise, thankfulness, prayer and sharing one another’s burdens are excellent guidelines for God’s church today.
In keeping with this example, we all meet together in two complementary ways. One in our celebration services to lift up our Lord Jesus Christ in worship, prayer, and celebration, and in small, more intimate groups, to pray, to share, and to grow in God’s Word. We meet in these two ways to mold the loves of people wherever they come from.
We know that we live in an ever-changing world, and we believe there are many ways to accomplish these goals. Our standard is the Bible which never changes! Although methods of sharing our faith or instruction in biblical truth may evolve to meet the need of a changing world, adherence to this standard will keep our foundation strong and ensure God’s blessing.
