Denomination: Evangelical Free Church of America
CrossRoads Community Church of Naples has several core beliefs and convictions that help shape our ministry’s organization and ministry direction.
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God. It has come to us from God and it tells us what we need to know about God and his will. The Bible tells us how to live in a way that bring glory to God. We are committed to the faithful preaching and teaching of God’s Word.
We believe in the Trinity. While the term “trinity” appears nowhere in the Bible, the way that God has revealed himself to us in the Bible is as one God who exists in three persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, each one equally God. This is a difficult concept to embrace but we accept it by faith trusting that God will help us better understand in his time.
We believe the gospel. The gospel is simply the good news that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures (1 Cor. 15:3-4, ESV). We believe that is only by trusting in what Jesus Christ has done for us that a person is reconciled to God and destined to live with him forever in heaven.
We believe that the Church is a people, not a building. The Church is made up of all those who have been reconciled to God through faith in Jesus Christ and he is the Head of the Church. Jesus has commanded his Church to go into the world and make followers of Christ.
