Denomination: Episcopal Church
Christ United is one of a few unique ministries in this country to combine both an Episcopal and Lutheran church into one. As far as we have been able to understand we are the first. This "federated" congregation's uniqueness among these ministries is deepened by our concern for reaching those who have no church home. The traditions of the Lutheran and Episcopal churches influence our ministry but are not emphasized. Our mission statement is "welcoming all to experience the unconditional love of Jesus Christ".
The majority of members have joined in the last six years. At the conclusion of 2007, 60 percent of the members expressed no preference of denomination.
