Denomination: Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
At Christ The King Lutheran Church, we are a church family seeking to learn, live, and tell the story of God's grace in our congregation, our community, and our world. We are inclusive and nurturing - a place where you'll be warmly welcomed and supported while we grow in faith and discipleship together.
Christ the King is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), one of the largest Christian denominations in the United States. Founded in 1964, we are a large church of over 1000 members, located in the heart of Cary, North Carolina, a dynamic, growing area.
Sundays at 8:30 and 11:00 each week, you can join us for either traditional worship in our Sanctuary, featuring the Evangelical Lutheran Worship book, a choir, and organ music, or contemporary worship in Nagle Hall, which features a more casual style, led by a worship band.
Sunday School is at 9:45, between the 8:30 and 11:00 worship services. There are classes for children, youth, and adults. Later in the day, three active youth groups, for 3rd-5th graders, middle school, and high school, meet for faith-based fun and friendship.
Throughout the Week
There's a lot going on at Christ the King. Many community groups, as well as church groups, use our facility for meetings and ministry. Christ the King Preschool is open September - May. Take a look at our website, ctkcary.com, to learn more about all the happenings at Christ the King.
