Joel and Sharon Chelliah were serving in full time ministry at Perth Christian Life Centre for more than 8 years when they felt God calling them out to plant a church in the City of Cockburn.
With the support of their Senior Pastor and the full backing of their home church, Perth CLC, they planted Centrepoint Church on May 21st, 2006. The church began with a team of 70 people meeting in Lakelands Senior High School, Performing Arts Centre.
The church continued to grow and in 2008 Centrepoint acquired its first Church building in the suburb of Bibra Lake. This building is currently one of the two warehouses that house our West Campus and Administration hub.
In August 2010, Centrepoint Church extended its influence to oversight a second campus in the City of Gosnells. Today Centrepoint is "One church in two locations". Ps Joel and Sharon oversight the leadership of both campuses through an amazing team of staff and volunteers, each focused on winning their local communities for Christ. Every week we have the privilege of seeing many first time converts make Centrepoint their home church.
