Our mission at Central is to "Grow God's Kingdom one person at a time."
That means two primary things to us. First we want to help every member of the congregation to grow in their faith and devotion to God. Since we are all members of the one body, when a member grows te body grows and the spiritual development of each person is vital. Paul set the standard for such growth in Ephesians 4:11-16 whe challenged leaders to equip the saints for the work of ministry for the building up of the body of Christ. He said when each member is speaking the truth in love they grow up into him who is head, even Christ, "From whom the whole body being joined and fitting together grows , by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for building itself up in love."
The second aspect of the mission is to grow one person at a time by bring one more to Jesus all along. If each member of the body influences the life of those around them in family and friends and invites them to worship with them it can make a huge difference for good. We can be God's witnesses to our world to lead others to the Lord. In that way God's kingdom is always growing. Our mission isn't just about building a great congregation but building God's kingdom everywhere.
