Denomination: Episcopal Church
Calvary Episcopal was established in 1848. The existing church structure on Glenn Springs Road, built in 1896, is a charming, well-preserved example of 19th century architecture, featuring a stained glass window from the original church and an alter, pews, and chancel furniture handcrafted by the founding rector, the Rev. J.D. McCullough.
In addition to the work at the church, the congregation is also active in the community, collecting items for a local food pantry and assisted living center. The church also works with the Glenn Springs Preservation Society, dedicated to maintaining the historic community and preserving its stories.
