Denomination: Calvary Chapel
When you first arrive you will be greeted at the door. As you make your way through the entryway, be sure to pick up one of our many pamphlets available in our Information Center. They will help answer questions about Calvary Chapel, our services, and ministries. Upon entering the Auditorium you'll see ushers who are there to help you find a seat and answer any questions you might have.
Our Sunday morning (9 and 11am) and Wednesday evening (7pm) services always begin with prayer and then an uplifting time of worshipping God through music and singing. Calvary Chapel Ontario is blessed with some very talented worship leaders who lead the fellowship in singing songs of praise to God. Two giant projector screens with the lyrics make it easy to follow along, even if you're not familiar with the music.
Following worship, we hear some announcements about things going on around the fellowship, and then we spend the remainder of the time focusing on the Word of God, picking up right where we left off the previous week. Above all else, our services are centered in and around the Word of God. Our pastors teach verse by verse through the Bible, beginning in Genesis right through to Revelation, then start over again. Occasionally, as the Lord directs, you may hear a topical teaching as well. Years of previous teachings are available online by clicking the Media Center link in the menu above and then selecting all our Thru-the-Bible studies.
We consider ourselves a "come as you are" church. Worship is not about the clothes we wear or the way we look. Dress however you feel most comfortable. And speaking of being comfortable, our goal is to make sure those visiting our fellowship are never made to feel out-of-place. You can come and visit Calvary Chapel and rest assured that we will never embarrass you. We simply want you to feel warmly welcomed, and ultimately fed and challenged by the teaching of God's Word. Services are roughly an hour long, with an opportunity to meet with our pastors or pray with the Prayer Team following the services.
You will notice during the teaching that several different versions of the Bible
might be cited (such as the NASB, the NKJV, the NIV or the ESV) but you are free to bring whatever version you are most comfortable with. If you don't have a Bible or forgot to bring yours, the ushers make Bibles available so you can follow along with the study.
We take communion on the first Sunday of the month in both Sunday morning services. Anyone who has received Christ as Savior is welcome to participate.
