The History of Bridgeman Life
In 1991 an annexe was started at Carseldine QUT campus by Christian Outreach Centre in Mansfield (this church is known today as “Citipointe COC”).
In August 1993 Pastors Alan & Pat Wills were commissioned to pioneer the work and to establish it as an independent COC. The church continued to grow and in February 1995, Alan & Pat were ordained as Senior Pastors of COC Brisbane North. The church continued to meet at the University Campus until 2001 when 5 acres of land was purchased at Bridgeman Downs and subsequent plans were put into the Brisbane City Council for building approval.
During the building project the church met on the mezzanine level of A-Mart at Virginia. Finally in August 2003, with approximately 400 people in attendance, we celebrated the opening of the new church building and re-named it Bridgeman COC.
The new church home saw members take on a new level of ownership and identity with the vision which carried it into a season of growth. Today Bridgeman remains a strong and flourishing local church with a strong emphasis on faith, miracles and influencing the local community.
