Bethel Fellowship Church (also known as "Bethel in the country") is located just outside of Three Hills, Alberta. We are affialiated with the Christian & Missionary Alliance.
We believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ and seek to keep that gospel as simple as God intended it to be. It begins with God, our Creator and the Sustainer of life. God made us because he wanted to ... because he wanted (not needed) to be in relationship with us.
God made each of us. He knows each of us by name. The Bible even says He knows how many hairs are on our heads. God made us the way we are ... and, as we see in the Bible, He considers us a good creation. He likes us ... and loves us ... that is why He seeks that relationship with us.
But, there is a problem ... we often choose to reject Him. Instead of joining the relationship God invites us into, we often try to live without Him. This might be because we want independence ... or we think God won’t let us have any fun ... or because we’ve seen people who claim to be in this “relationship” with God and yet they are nothing like God. Whatever our reason, this rejection creates a barrier called sin; and, it is sin that keeps us separate from God, ultimately leading to an eternal separation from God which the Bible denotes as hell.
The great part of the gospel / the actual gospel is that God has made a way for this relationship even though we sin. In John 14.6, Jesus says, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” God made a way, and that way is Jesus Christ. Through His life on earth, through His death on the cross, and through His resurrection from the dead, if we come in faith, our relationship with God can be renewed.
As a church, we pursue living fully in this renewed relationship with God. And, as a church, we seek to interest others in also coming to God relationally through personal faith and the person and work of Jesus Christ.
