Denomination: Church of England
Welcome to the Anglican churches in Beccles, Suffolk.
Beccles has 2 Church of England Churches:
St Michael’s Parish Church
St Michael’s is a magnificent building dating back to 1369 when the Abbotts of Bury St Edmunds built the church on what was then a coastal cliff. It has a 100’ detached square tower with a peel of 10 bells. In 2010 we celebrated the 600th anniversary of the completion of the building.
St Luke’s Church Centre
The St Luke’s Centre was opened in 1966 in the heart of the Rigbourne Hill housing estate. It was added to over the following years and then extensively renovated in 2006. It is now a modern complex of rooms and halls that is used by many church and community groups.
Our main Sunday services take place at 10.30am in both churches. Come and join us and find out more about the life and worship of St Michael’s and St Luke’s.
