Methodist Church Bakewell Service Times

Sunday Services 10:30am followed by tea, coffee, biscuits and chat in Church Hall. (Visitors are very welcome to join us for coffee (we're a friendly bunch) but leaving is fine if that's what you prefer).

The services follow a standard free church pattern but varying from traditional to more modern, depending on who is leading the service. There are also the following two types of services which can vary from the usual services to a certain extent -

- Lay led services (called local arrangements) : Services led by skilled members of the congregation. These can vary a little from the traditional services - by having a number of short reflections and meditations instead of a full sermon; sometimes being about contemporary issues or a subject that a sermon may not cover; sometimes including something creative etc.

- Cafe Worship : These services, with tea and coffee, are held in the Church Hall. The service may be very similar to a traditional service but may include an element of discussion with others round your table. (Don't be daunted by this - Visitors join in the discussions or sit and listen).
