Denomination: Independent
Altona Christian Centre was conceived on 5th February 1988 when 3 people met in a home in Hall Avenue (formerly known as North Avenue) for a bible study as an outreach from Westvale Christian Centre (now GROW Church) in St. Albans.
Over the years our venues have included Altona Green Primary School and Italian Social Club of North Altona until we began meeting at our current venue here at Altona Meadows Community Centre on 7th June 1998.
Altona Christian Centre is an autonomous local church affiliated with a group of autonomous churches in Australia known as the CRC Churches International Australia.
This co-operative fellowship of churches is based on mutual love, respect, loyalty and recognition of each others sovereignty as expressed in the Charter of the CRC Churches International.
