History of All Souls'
All Souls' Episcopal Church in Ansonville is believed to have its origins in 1880 as a field chapel. The original building was upgraded in 1886, and on December 13, 1896, All Souls' was formally established as a mission church of the Diocese of North Carolina.
Except for the very early years, All Souls' and Calvary Church, Wadesboro, have shared clergy and worked together closely.
Between 1956 and 1959, the All Souls' facility was extensively renovated. The Garibaldi Memorial Garden was dedicated in 1966.
On September 6, 1980, All Souls' celebrated its 100th anniversary, holding services from September through May on the second and fourth Sundays.
From September of 2015 to February 2016, All Souls' underwent minor renovations and reopened on February 28th, 2016 with many in attendance.
On January 1, 2016, Fr. Tim Hushion became All Souls' new Vicar!
