All Saints Parish will celebrate its Golden Anniversary in 2014.
All Saints Parish was established on June 15, 1964 (Decree of Erection signed by Archbishop Philip Pocock)
The First Mass was celebrated on June 21, 1964 in the All Saints School yard with 750 people in attendance. Between 1964 and 1967 Mass was celebrated at Scarlett Heights Collegiate.
All Saints Church was completed in Canada’s Centennial year 1967. The first mass was celebrated in the Church by the Pastor Rev. Martin E. O’Grady, on All Saints Day, November 1st, 1967.
The Most Rev. Philip F. Pocock, D.D. coadjutor Archbishop of Toronto, solemnly blessed the new Church on Sunday, March 10th, 1968.
Today our parish has 1800 families and three elementary schools.
All Saints is one of the 225 parishes in the Archdiocese of Toronto . Within the Archdiocese the family of faith is alive and at work in our community. Comprised of nearly 1.9 Million Catholics, 225 parishes and 4 missions, the Archdiocese is led by His Eminence Thomas Cardinal Collins , and assisted by Auxiliary Bishops, Most Reverend John A. Boissonneau, Most Reverend William McGrattan and Most Reverend Vincent Nguyen. Auxiliary Bishop, Most Reverend Pearse Lacey retired in 1993.
