Denomination: Church of Christ
Our Mission: The 151st Street body of Christ is called to convert souls to Christ and to equip them for faithful, biblical service to the glory of God.
At 13875 West 151st Street in Olathe, Kansas, you will find an enthusiastic, friendly and growing congregation of Christians striving to be all that God has called us to be. Our congregation is served by 5 elders, 2 ministers and 18 deacons, but the involvement of every member is our goal. We don’t believe or practice the cliché that 20% of the people do 80% of the work. Every member is encouraged to be engaged in ministry, and most are. Their commitment to the Lord and the church is strong and growing.
Our vision as a congregation is to be a “Church Planting Church”. In recent years we have built a new auditorium and added a second Sunday morning service. Lord willing, in the not too distant future, we hope to identify a desirable location and plant a new sister congregation. As a church planting church, we want to reach the greatest number of souls while maintaining both the dynamism and close fellowship of a medium-size congregation.
