Tawa Baptist Church (TBC) is a community of Christian faith. We believe the church lives to glorify Jesus Christ and be a blessing to God's world. This means our main focus needs to be outward. The object of our love is Jesus Christ and that love is expressed by seeking the well-being of the world around us, as well as each other's well being. Our values can be summarised as follows...
Christ in Community
Relational = Welcoming & safe + Genuine care for one another
Engaging = Sharing Biblical truth + Freedom to be involved
Authentic = Practical acts of service + Integrating faith
Lasting = Passing on the faith + Making decisions faithfully
Like most communities we are on a journey when it comes to implementing these values. We are not perfect or complete yet, but we hold on to (and are held by) Christ who is our hope of perfect love.
