St Paul's UMC welcomes Christians and those who seek to understand Christianity in the Sykesville area. Our aim is to make contact with and encourage others to join us in our life-enhancing Christian journey.
St Paul's UMC at Sykesville, Maryland is a friendly Christian community where we welcome others to join us in our worship and service to God. Our emphasis is on learning and understanding the Bible and following the example of Jesus and his followers.
The vision of St Paul's UMC is to make an impact for God, here in Sykesville, Maryland by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds. Come just as you are - we'd love to get to know you better.
Service Times
St. Paul's ministries include: UMYF, UMM, UMW, Sunday School, Bible Studies for all ages, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, A.A. groups, and hosting numerous community and civic groups thoughout the year. Our Mission/Outreach endeavors are local, national, and international including a youth missions team, ESCAPE Ministries (of which our church is a founding member along with Gaither UMC), participation in numerous other mission and outreach ministries (including in past years sponsoring Suzanne Porter, a UM Missionary abroad). Our worship combines a reliance upon traditional liturgy while blending newer worship practices. Our services apply Scriptural teaching to a modern world to provide practical approaches to living a Christian life in the 21st Century.
