St Nicholas welcomes Christians and those who seek to understand Christianity in the Durham area. Our aim is to make contact with and encourage others to join us in our life-enhancing Christian journey.
St Nicholas at Durham, County Durham is a friendly Christian community where we welcome others to join us in our worship and service to God. Our emphasis is on learning and understanding the Bible and following the example of Jesus and his followers.
The vision of St Nicholas is to make an impact for God, here in Durham, County Durham by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds. Come just as you are - we'd love to get to know you better.

Service Times

Sunday
Sunday 10.15am Service
Our 10.15am service is a lively service with modern liturgy and a mixture of worship songs and hymns, led by band or organ. Holy Communion takes place on the second and fourth mornings of the month. All-Age Service, with worship led by the Youth Band is on the third Sunday. On the third Sunday there is also a quieter parallel Service of the Word in the Town Hall at 10.15am.
Every Sunday at 10:15 AM for 1 hour
Sunday 6.30pm service
Modern liturgy and a mixture of worship songs and hymns. Holy Communion is approximately every alternate week. On alternate weeks the youth group for young people 11-18 runs during this service in the Youth Centre.
Every Sunday at 6:30 PM for 1 hour
Wednesday
Midweek Holy Communion - Wednesday
A quiet service of Holy Communion which takes place in the (Chapel) on Wednesday mornings, except during August.
Every Wednesday at 10:30 AM for ½ hour
