Welcome to St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Bridgeport, Connecticut. We are a Christian community whose primary philosophy is "not to be served - but to serve." (Matthew 20:28) Much in the way our patron learned of humble servant leadership through following Christ, we too, follow Christ's example and keep our focus on the needs of our neighbors both near and far.
We have many goals, yet, they can be summed up within the following: growing deeper in our knowledge of, love of and relationship with God; draw forth, inform, support and celebrate the discipleship of a community that sees Christ in everyone; and strive for justice in equality in our community; seeking to make the vision of the Kingdom of God a reality. Our community has always been committed to being a house prayer for all.
We believe all are welcome at God's table.
