St John the Evangelist welcomes Christians and those who seek to understand Christianity in the Welwyn Garden City area. Our aim is to make contact with and encourage others to join us in our life-enhancing Christian journey.
St John the Evangelist at Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire is a friendly Christian community where we welcome others to join us in our worship and service to God. Our emphasis is on learning and understanding the Bible and following the example of Jesus and his followers.
The vision of St John the Evangelist is to make an impact for God, here in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds. Come just as you are - we'd love to get to know you better.
Service Times
Healing Service
At 6pm - a wonderful opportunity to take time to be with God in our busy lives and receive His healing and renewal. The service lasts half an hour or so with the offering of anointing with the holy oils. Relaxing, lovely Taize music...a real joy.
COME AND JOIN US.
Everyone is welcome. The service will be followed by light refreshments.

1. Create a hat for the Queen.
2. Men’s Victoria sponge cake competition (ladies judging) -
The sponge must be made to a three egg recipe, filled only with strawberry or raspberry jam and dusted with caster sugar.
Are you the Digswell Parish Bake Off Champion?
3. brush up your hidden Alan Titchmarsh and design a minature Garden Party on a plate. The plate must be no more than 30 cms in diameter
4. Hunt the corgi round the garden....how many can you find?
50p entrance fee for each completion...prizes will be awarded.
