St John the Evangelist welcomes Christians and those who seek to understand Christianity in the St Leonards-on-Sea area. Our aim is to make contact with and encourage others to join us in our life-enhancing Christian journey.
St John the Evangelist at St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex is a friendly Christian community where we welcome others to join us in our worship and service to God. Our emphasis is on learning and understanding the Bible and following the example of Jesus and his followers.
The vision of St John the Evangelist is to make an impact for God, here in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds. Come just as you are - we'd love to get to know you better.

Morning Worship - with hymns
Every second Sunday at 10:00 AM for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Family Worship - Families & Children
Every fourth Sunday at 10:00 AM for 1 hour
United Parish Communion - Sung
Alternates between St John's and daughter church of St Peter & St Paul, Parkstone Road.
Every fifth Sunday at 10:00 AM for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Tuesday
"Busy Bees" Parent & Toddler Group
Meets in St John's Church Room.
Numbers are limted and there may be a waiting list. Please phone for details.
Term Time Only
Every Tuesday at 10:00 AM for 1½ hours
C.A.M.E.O. Club
Come And Meet Each Other group. Meet in St John's Church Room with activities or guest speakers. Occasional outings.
Every third Tuesday at 2:30 PM for 2 hours
Wednesday
Holy Communion - Said
Preceded by Coffee at 10:30 a.m. Followed by soup lunch at 12 noon.
Every third Wednesday at 11:00 AM for 1 hour
Wednesday Group
Meet in St John's Church Room usually with guest speaker.
Do not meet during August otherwise
Every first and third Wednesday at 7:45 PM for 2 hours
Thursday
Armchair Keep Fit
Keep Fit session in St John's church Room for those less agile. Most, if not all, exercises can be done whilst seated!
Every Thursday at 10:30 AM for 1 hour
Friday
