St John's Church
Anglican Church
At St John’s, we believe that being a Christian is not just about coming to church on a Sunday. We want to be a church that makes and trains disciples of Jesus; people who want to follow Jesus and see his kingdom coming in every situation: in work, at school, at home and out and about. We know that there are many challenges to being a Christian and we want to explore these together, supporting and encouraging one another, praying for each other and the world. You will not find a polished model of church at St John’s, instead you will find a dynamic and diverse community which seeks to bring the love of God and the life of Jesus into the everyday. Take a look at the short film below to see a little more about life at St. John's.
Service Times
Services at St John's
9am
This service is our most traditional and liturgical service, with hymns and biblical preaching. It is calmer than the other services, but full of life and the Spirit.
10:30am
This service attracts a wide range of ages, from under 1 to 101! There is a relaxed and informal feel, so it is ideal for children. In most services, the children go and learn and pray together in small groups. During that time, there is teaching from the Bible for the adults.
Six Thirty
This service is contemporary in feel, with biblical teaching and extended times of worship and ministry. We gather for drinks, refreshments and a chance to get to know one another better after the service. The Cabin for youth aged 16-18 years also follows on after this service in the church
